Douglas S. Sepic
A partner in the firm, Doug is an experienced attorney with vast and notable jury trial experience.
Criminal Law: Doug represents individuals charged with major felonies and violent crimes (homicide, aggravated assault, homicide by vehicle, armed robbery, domestic violence, child pornography, sexual assault and burglary) in addition to non-violent felonies and misdemeanors such as drug offenses, DUI, weapons offenses and theft.
As a former prosecutor for Fayette County for 16 years, he tried over 300 jury trials, including multiple homicide trials, homicide by vehicle trials, and many cases involving DNA and complex forensic evidence.
Recent jury trial verdict: In 2019, Doug won across-the-board acquittal by a jury for a client charged with a felony and misdemeanor firearms violations.
Civil Law: Doug handles matters involving wrongful death and personal injury, construction and consumer protection claims, tax sale litigation, election law and political disputes, contractual and money claims, real estate/property disputes, eminent domain cases and municipal litigation.
Recent jury trial verdict: In 2019, after arguing the principals of the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Act, Doug won a straight defense verdict from a jury for a client who was sued for failing to pay a home improvement contractor the balance on a home improvement contract.
Real Estate Transactions: As a Licensed Title Insurance Agent in Pennsylvania, Doug has performed over 1,000 real estate title examinations and transactions. He handles everything from basic residential real estate deals to multi-million dollar commercial real estate transactions
Municipal Law: Doug serves as the solicitor for various municipalities, municipal authorities and municipal boards in the region.
